“Infrastructure is Not Just Roads and Bridges”

When the Trump administration’s infrastructure plan was laid out in early June, it included almost nothing about equity. Instead, with its emphasis on bridges, roads, and tunnels, the plan falls far short on broadband, public transit, and clean water — infrastructure necessities that bring opportunities to people of color and low-income communities, and to the nation’s economy.
