Libby Viera-Bland

Senior Associate, Housing

Libby Viera-Bland, AICP, believes that the only way to resolve deeply entrenched issues around housing, land, and climate justice is through building intersectional relationships. She received master's degrees in City Planning and Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, she was the Director of Neighborhood Development for Project Row Houses where she focused on the preservation, development, and management of affordable housing. Prior to that, she worked on the Harris County Affordable Housing Study as a Senior Associate Planner and Urban Designer with Asakura Robinson. She also completed the Culture of Health Leaders Fellowship through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Additionally, she serves on the board for Bayou City Waterkeeper, the City of Houston’s Planning Commission, and is a Trustee for Harris County’s public hospital system, Harris Health.

Libby resides in Houston, Texas with her husband Jose, daughter Cali, and their two dogs.
