Jasmin Ward Carey

Senior Director of Institutional Partnerships

Jasmin Ward Carey, Senior Director of Institutional Partnerships, is a seasoned fundraiser who has dedicated her career to strengthening organizations that create lasting social impact. At PolicyLink, Jasmin leads efforts to strengthen and expand the organization’s relationships with foundations and other institutional donors in support of our mission to advance racial and economic equity. She plays a key role in shaping fundraising strategy, aligning funder engagement with PolicyLink's strategic goals, and representing the organization to a broad network of philanthropic partners.

Before joining PolicyLink, Jasmin served as Senior Director of Development, Research Partnerships at the Urban Institute. There, she partnered with researchers and technical experts to articulate compelling value propositions, secure multi-million-dollar investments, and expand institutional support for evidence-based policy solutions.

Previously, she was the first Director of Foundation Relations at Share Our Strength, where she built the organization’s foundation portfolio from the ground up and played a leadership role on its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, including serving as chair of the LGBTQIA affinity group. Earlier in her career, Jasmin led foundation fundraising efforts at the Bipartisan Policy Center and the Truman National Security Project.

With more than 17 years of fundraising experience, Jasmin has secured critical resources for local and national organizations addressing environmental justice, housing and homelessness, sustainable energy, child hunger, and inclusive public policy. Her work has consistently focused on equity, community empowerment, and advancing opportunity for underserved populations.

Jasmin earned a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park.
